Who is Henk Vogels…

Henk Vogels, from Perth, Western Australia, is a former professional road cyclist with a career spanning from 1995 to 2008. He competed in five World Championships and represented Australia at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Notably, he won the Australian National Road Race title in 1999. Throughout his career, Vogels rode for several professional teams, including Novell–Decca–Colnago, Rabobank, Lotto Davitamon, GAN, Mercury Cycling Team, and Toyota–United Pro Cycling Team. After retiring from competitive cycling, he took on various roles within the sport, such as directeur sportif for Fly V-Successful Living and sports director for Drapac Professional Cycling and ARA Pro Racing cycling team. In addition to his directorial roles, Vogels has contributed to the cycling community as a commentator for SBS Cycling Central. His father, Henk Vogels Sr., was also a notable cyclist, having competed in the 1964 Summer Olympics. Henk Vogels Jr. continues to influence the cycling world both on and off the bike.
